Is there anything particular it does (the BETA) to add the # count. The new style I have purchased has a custom mainMenu template and was wondering why it may not be showing up there. The option is checked in the ACP. Or does it only show if someone is actually in the chat?

OK, answered my own question. 
It shows only if someone is in the chat.
